Description

We are looking for an energetic, experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. As a key role in the finance department this position will provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts while also supporting the other finance team members. The candidate must exhibit a positive attitude and thrive in a challenging, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial reports by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from other departments.
• Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
• Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
• Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Working with and supporting operational leaders across all departments to create budgets and gain efficiency.
• Continually updates knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and two years experience OR Five years recent and relevant experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong analytic skills
• Problem solving and time management skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Desire to learn at a level to teach others
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills
• Proficient in Excel
