We are seeking an exceptional Senior Software Engineer for our Platform team who possesses a strong coding and architectural background, at least 1 (one) year of professional experience with Rust, proficiency in Python, and extensive experience in building and supporting core infrastructure frameworks.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Core Platform Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the core infrastructure that underpins our revolutionary Generative AI platform. Your expertise in coding and architecture will be instrumental in creating a powerful and scalable foundation, while your proficiency in Python and Rust will enable you to contribute to the growth of our technology stack. Your experience with production support, Kubernetes, and Docker will ensure the platform's stability and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of foundational components and frameworks that serve as the building blocks for our Generative AI platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and requirements, and create platform solutions that empower developers to build innovative applications on top of it.
• Cultivate a growth mindset, constantly studying and staying current with design patterns, techniques, and technologies that attract developers to platforms and frameworks.
• Work closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers to integrate Generative AI models into the platform, ensuring seamless and efficient execution within enterprises.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting expertise to ensure the platform's smooth operation and address any performance or scalability challenges.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices related to platform engineering, and incorporate them into our platform to maintain its cutting-edge status.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record as an exceptional coder and burgeoning architect with at least 5 years of experience in software engineering and platform development.
• Proficiency in Python and Rust, with experience in designing and developing high-performance systems. All our performance-critical areas are developed in Rust.
• Prior experience leading the development of a framework or core piece of infrastructure/platform that has been widely adopted and built upon by teammates or customers.
• Excitement and enthusiasm for Generative AI (LLMs) and a clear understanding of the challenges and requirements for successful enterprise implementations.
• Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and/or Docker, and experience in deploying and managing applications in containerized environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to architect scalable and reliable solutions.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in developing platforms for AI/ML applications or working with Generative AI models.
• Knowledge of Rust programming language and a willingness to expand expertise in this area.
• Familiarity with Generative AI model frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for platform deployment.
• Contribution to open-source projects related to platform development or AI technologies.

Compensation Information

$180,000—$220,000 USD
