We are looking for a Senior KYC Analyst. The Senior KYC Analyst role is crucial in bolstering our company's commitment to maintaining a stringent Know Your Customer (KYC) and fraud prevention framework. This individual will play a key role in enhancing and executing the company's KYC strategies under the guidance of the KYC Manager. Their efforts will focus on conducting comprehensive due diligence for both existing and potential customers/members. This includes employing an established KYC methodology to evaluate risks efficiently. The role is instrumental in ensuring adherence to regulations set forth by FinCEN, OFAC, and similar regulatory bodies.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Examine and validate customer documentation, resolving any inconsistencies found.
Work closely with internal teams to collect essential information for KYC processes, aiming to mitigate risks associated with malicious entities.
Engage with current and prospective customers/members to gather accurate data.
Analyze reports to determine credit risk exposure.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on KYC, AML, and CTF regulatory changes and best practices.
Accurately update and manage customer records.
Protect the confidentiality of customer information.
Execute in-depth due diligence and verification for customers/members, aligning with regulatory mandates and industry standards.
Facilitate educational activities and communicate findings within the membership to promote high-quality outcomes.
Enforce anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) compliance.
Utilize understanding of company processes, goals, and tools to develop effective communication for both internal and external stakeholders.
Lead and present process improvement initiatives through comprehensive data analysis, problem-solving, and project management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or relevant experience.
A minimum of 5 years in a similar analytical and project leadership role within the banking or financial services industry.
Profound knowledge and experience in KYC, AML, and CTF practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
High-quality work standards with a keen eye for detail.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships across various departments.
Team-oriented with the capability to function as both a member and a leader.
Background in fraud detection/prevention, ideally in the Utility or Banking sectors.
Problem-solving proficiency and ability to manage complex issues.
Skilled in data analysis and summarizing large data sets.
Preferred:
MBA.
Certification in CAMS, CFCS, CFE, or related anti-financial crime areas.
Competence in delivering presentations and training.
Prior experience in a similar capacity within the banking or financial services industry.
Proven track record in documenting and enhancing business processes.
Advanced planning, modeling, and analytical skills.
Project management experience.
Experience in developing policies, procedures, standards, or manuals.
