Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable  Spanish Instructors to lead after-school Spanish enrichment classes at multiple San Diego elementary schools. Instructors will provide engaging, beginner-friendly language lessons through interactive activities, cultural exposure, and positive classroom management.

You may teach at one or both of the San Diego sites based on availability.

Program Dates: 01/08/2026 – 02/25/2026
Day(s): Wednesdays
Time: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Teach interactive beginner-level Spanish using games, songs, storytelling, vocabulary practice, and cultural lessons.
• Maintain an encouraging, structured classroom environment for students in grades K–5.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans and arrive ready to teach.
• Supervise students safely before, during, and after class transitions.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and program coordinators.
• Track attendance and report any behavioral or safety concerns.

Requirements

• Experience teaching, tutoring, or leading youth programs preferred.
• Strong Spanish-speaking ability (conversational to fluent).
• Positive classroom management and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality.
• Live Scan background check required prior to starting.
