The Role The Merchant Experience team’s mission is to create a thriving network of active merchants that is easily accessible to consumers, making Cash App & Afterpay the most loved way to pay. Our team’s focus is to lay the foundations to both support and grow our active merchant count at scale globally. You Will Design, build and support merchant-facing platforms that are user-friendly and empower merchants to grow their business with Cash App. Evolve our architecture to scale with growth in customers and developers, working across large monolith codebases and microservices. Creatively solve challenging technical problems at scale. Collaborate with product management and design to lead the development of new, high-impact experiences and help define the roadmap. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide support for our services. You Have 3+ years of software development or equivalent experience quality bar. Well-developed curiosity and enjoy building creative solutions to complex problems. Willingness to learn and apply new methodologies and techniques as required. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Expertise in the full software development life cycle. Strong communication skills, able to discuss engineering issues and trade-offs without hesitation. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field. Must be based in PST due to working with our team in Australia.
