Social Services Assistant Summary Assisting residents and families with the completion ofadmission paperwork. Directs residents and families to appropriate staffmembers to ensure that questions and/or concerns are addressed. Schedule IDTmeetings for new admissions. Assist resident / families with long term careMaineCare application process as well as communicating with DHHS regardingstatus. Assist with tracking of Managed Care updates as well as assisting withthe tracking of Maximus referrals. Performsclerical duties as needed.
Essential Job Functions: - Completion of admission paperwork for new residents
- Maintain and organize necessary forms for the admission process
- Performclerical duties to assist the social work department as needed
- Assist withMaineCare applications
- Perform other duties as needed
Essential Skills and Knowledge: - Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to maintain positive attitude and professional relationships with residents, families and staff
- Long-term care experience preferred
