Job Description

Aravaipa Running is seeking a passionate and creative Part-Time Social Media Content Creator to join our team. This role will primarily focus on attending various trail running events organized by Aravaipa Running and creating captivating social media content that showcases the essence and excitement of both the races and the community that supports them. Additionally, the Part-Time Social Media Content Creator may be tasked with creating content at events that further support the needs of the Aravaipa Running Marketing Team. The ideal candidate should have a background or strong interest in social media marketing and content creation in the outdoor space.

The primary responsibilities of the Social Media Content Creator are as follows:

1. Attend designated trail running events organized by Aravaipa Running.
2. Capture and create high-quality videos of race participants, landscapes, and key moments during the events.
3. Conduct interviews with runners, volunteers, and staff to gather engaging stories and content for Aravaipa social media channels.
4. Create compelling and on-brand social media content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
5. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies and campaigns that resonate with our audience.
6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing and content creation.
7. Work with the Director of Marketing to deliver additional content as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Passion for trail running, outdoor adventures, and the active lifestyle promoted by Aravaipa Running.
2. Proficiency in social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
3. Basic knowledge and experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro
4. Ability to create thumbnails and graphics utilizing Canva
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories through multimedia content.
6. Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and travel to various event locations.
9. Prior experience in content creation, digital marketing, or a related field is a plus.
10. Has a phone & data plan

The Social Media Content Creator reports directly to the Director of Marketing.
