Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our dynamic team for a commercial construction project. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sheet metal installation, fabrication, and repair, as well as strong knowledge of construction safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and repair sheet metal components in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
• Fabricate, measure, cut, and shape sheet metal using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Ensure quality and accuracy in all installations, including HVAC ducts, flashing, and other metal components.
• Operate scissor lifts and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to meet project deadlines and ensure worksite efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a sheet metal mechanic, preferably in commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in using sheet metal tools, such as brakes, shears, and grinders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Valid OSHA 10 Certification (a plus).
• Scissor Lift Certification (a plus).

Work Environment

The role is part of a commercial construction project, where you'll be working alongside other trades in a collaborative environment. The position involves working with a variety of tools and equipment, often at heights and in various weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
