Overview Senior Project Manager-Capital Pipeline Projects with a strong background in large-scale pipeline projects within the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will bring both proven project management expertise and established client relationships, enabling WSP to continue expanding its role as a trusted partner in the industry. This position is preferably based in Houston, TX . Other locations will be considered: Chicago, IL and Tampa, FL . Your Impact Lead and support proposal development, including scope, schedule, and cost estimates, in collaboration with technical teams. Pursue and secure new opportunities in the oil and gas pipeline sector by leveraging client relationships, participating in business development initiatives, and representing WSP in industry forums. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major pipeline projects for oil and gas clients, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Develop deep internal network of WSP resources (national and international) to ensure full capabilities and expertise are delivered to oil and gas projects. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources while driving efficiency and accountability across multidisciplinary teams. Serve as the primary client interface, maintaining and expanding long-term relationships with key stakeholders. Develop and present project strategies, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to senior WSP management review teams in support of successful outcomes. Oversee and/or support contract negotiations, and project reporting to both clients and internal leadership. Mentor and support project managers, engineers, and other staff, fostering technical and professional growth. Collaborate with WSP’s leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the oil and gas pipeline sector. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Minimum of 15+ years of progressive project management experience, with at least 8 years in pipeline projects for oil and gas. Demonstrated success in leading large, complex projects from conception to completion. Good understanding of all aspects of pipeline projects, including engineering, environmental permitting, ROW requisitions, material procurement, construction management and commissioning. Demonstrated ability to develop strong, ongoing relationships with existing and/or new oil and gas clients/client teams. Proven ability to manage project financials, schedules, and risk. Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills. PMP or equivalent experience. Ability to travel as required for client and project needs.
