PIA HOYT is a commercial litigation Law Firm based primarily in Salt Lake City, Utah representing clients out of Utah but with Federal and State cases in states across the country. The firm handles intellectual property litigation cases, insurance coverage cases, personal injury cases and all kinds of commercial litigation cases at all levels of trial and appeal.

Role Description

This is a full-time, in office for a Senior Paralegal at PIA HOYT. Our office is downtown Salt Lake City at 170 S. Main Street (on the corner). As a Senior Paralegal, you will be responsible for legal document preparation, discovery, deadlines, pre-trial preparation, preparing hearing binders, communicating with clients, conducting limited research, and significant document review. For the right applicant additional compensation or remote flexibility could be considered.

Qualifications

• Law and Legal Document Preparation skills.
• Experience with all levels of discovery and discovery preparation.
• Strong Communication skills.
• Legal Document Review abilities.
• Filing in Federal and State Courts.
• Preparation of Table of Authorities and Table of Contents for briefs.
• Experience in formatting and spell-checking briefs.
• Excellent follow-through abilities to make sure that briefs get filed on time.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Paralegal certification or equivalent years of work in the litigation department of a firm.
