Raytheon is seeking an individual to join the Cyber Security Engineering team for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer (P3) position supporting Continuous Monitoring and maintenance of Authority to Operate on Government customer accredited assets at Raytheon Aurora Site. The ideal candidate will have cyber experience across the full spectrum of cyber operations from a mission execution perspective, to include vulnerability management, compliance management, database, and enterprise information security infrastructure. This is an on-site position at Raytheon in Aurora, CO.

What You Will Do

  • Vulnerability and compliance scanning and mitigation

  • STIG manual hardening checks

  • Software Assurance

  • Plan of action and milestones (POAM) work off

  • Provide support preparing IA Assessment and Authorization documentation (RMF) and participating in program level risk assessments during the A&A processes

  • Cyber security engineering in support of system development

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) as described in NIST Special Publication 800-37, NIST Special Publication 800-53 and NIST Special Publication 800-171

  • Experience with Tenable Security Center, Nessus for vulnerability and compliance assessment

  • Experience with the completion of program & project milestones specific guidance

  • Must possess Security Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II (Security+ or equivalent) Compliant Certification 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven understanding of DoD RMF Certification and Accreditation Processes, assessing and validating compliance with IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation

  • Knowledge of operating systems security features and settings (e.g. Windows, UNIX and Linux)

  • Experience working in cloud infrastructure environments (AWS)

  • Experience with information security toolsets such as LogRhythm and/or SPLUNK or other related Intrusion Detection Tools

  • Self-Starter requiring limited direction and supervision

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
