Our client, a growing business services firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team.

Responsibilities:
1. Supervising, tracking, and evaluating day-to-day activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and corporate income statement.
2. Managing the month-end close process, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information.
3. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
4. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP.
5. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
6. Participating in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to accelerate close and reporting timelines.
8. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Job Details
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/MBA preferred.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a senior accountant role is essential.
3. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
4. Proficiency in general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
5. Strong skills in conducting detailed reconciliations of all accounts.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
7. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
8. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions.
9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
10. Experience in the legal industry is a plus, but not required.
