Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to play a crucial role in our ecosystem, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial operations; the ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of accounting and analysis tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  • General Accounting Support: Work with multiple related companies to provide general accounting support, focusing on timely and accurate financial statement compilations.
  • Internal Controls: Assist in the development of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile various P&L and Balance Sheet accounts, from revenue and expense items, to bank accounts and debt agreements.
  • ERP and Operating Module Accuracy: Maintain accuracy between multiple ERPs and Operating Modules on a monthly basis, ensuring consistent financial reporting across all entities.
  • Fixed Asset Accounting: Perform tasks related to Fixed Asset accounting for all entities, including the analysis of Construction in Progress (CIP), Repairs and Maintenance accounts, and maintaining listings of Personal Property assessments.
  • Reporting: Report monthly on Key Performance Indicators as well as GAAP financials, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Month-End Close and Audit Support: Responsible for meeting deadlines in month-end close procedures and support annual financial statement reviews/audits.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferred.
  • Certifications: CPA designation is preferred.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Skills: Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines; analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
