We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. This is a permanent position that offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to our company's financial operations. You will be responsible for overseeing accounts payable, supervising the payables team, driving month-end close reconciliations, and leading process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will:
1. Oversee all accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, credit memos, etc.
2. Supervise the payables team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operation and professional development.
3. Lead month-end close reconciliations, reviewing all ledger entries and correcting any discrepancies to maintain accuracy in financial records.
4. Drive process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for efficiency and implementing changes to streamline financial operations.
5. Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to develop financial strategies and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
6. Prepare financial reports and statements, providing detailed analysis and insights to inform business decisions.
7. Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and answering queries to ensure a smooth audit process.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on accounts payable and month-end close reconciliations.
3. Prior supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial markets, and banking.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
6. Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.
10. Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
