We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position and an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to apply their skills and knowledge in a challenging environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial decision-making and operations as they directly relate to budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
2. Supporting month-end close processes, including the preparation and posting of journal entries.
3. Utilizing advanced Excel skills, such as vlookups and Pivot Tables, to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
4. Preparing, reviewing, and distributing monthly financial statements.
5. Collaborating with the finance team to understand and manage inventory costs.
6. Conducting cost accounting, including tracking, analyzing, and reporting on manufacturing costs.
7. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
8. Providing support for internal and external audits.
9. Using SAP or equivalent ERP systems to manage accounting processes and financial data.
10. Continuously improving systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in using advanced Excel functions such as vlookups and Pivot Tables.
4. Strong experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
5. Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
6. Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
11. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
