Rule breakers better watch out when you’re on our Public Safety team. You’ll spend the summer patrolling parking lots and controlling metal detectors, checking everything from guests’ bags to employee badges. What You Will Be Doing:

• Interact with guests providing directions and assistance
• Protect employees, guests, and company property
• Enforce park policies
• Control park access, checking vehicle permits and scanning ID badges for team members, vendors, and contractors
• Patrol and inspect assigned areas of the park
• Keep unauthorized personnel out of restricted areas
• Greet and screen entering through metal detection and check their bags for prohibited items
• Rapidly respond to active alarms, first aid, and other emergency situations
• Monitor all areas for safety hazards, including fire, theft, and vandalism
• Maintain ride queue lines, sending line jumpers to the back to ensure an efficient boarding process
• Write detailed reports of damage, incident logs, and security records
• Apprehend violators, including on-foot pursuits when necessary
• Escort guests and team members as needed for assistance and protection

What You Will Need:

• Must be 16 years or older
• Able to lift, carry, and balance heavy loads
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, including walking long distances, standing for long periods of time, lifting, working at heights, etc. 
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES	Must possess above average communication skills Must react well in stressful and emergency situations Must be able to intervene in difficult situations without furthering or escalating the situation Must be able to respond in a professional and courteous manner, regardless of situation Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
SUPERVISION RECEIVED	Under the general supervision of Security Leadership
ERRORS/SAFETY	Errors in performance, mismanaged paperwork, or failure to adhere to and enforce Operations policies as stated in any Standard Operating Procedures Manual may result in injuries or fatalities to yourself or others.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS	Direct and continuous interaction with Guests, Team Members, Leads, and Supervisors throughout the entire park. Must be professional, courteous and calm in all situations.
CONFIDENTIAL DATA	Limited access to confidential information such as reports, phone listings, etc. Limited exposure to confidential data.
MENTAL OR VISUAL DEMAND	Requires normal visual and mental demand.
PHYSICAL DEMAND	Requires continuous standing, some lifting, and walking, bending, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech Requires frequent kneeling, manual dexterity, gross motor skills, and color definition Requires using telephone, radios, and computer equipment Strong physical mobility--the ability to move easily in different work stations, hand and arm movement and utilizes safe lifting and carrying techniques Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a times and as many as 14 hours a day Must be able to walk up to 5 miles per day over various surfaces Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently with a maximum of 80 lbs Must be able to lift up to 200 lbs with assistance Must be able to lift and carry up to an 80 lb load over 25 feet Must be able to push/pull 150 lbs over 50 feet over various surfaces May be required to be able to ride a bike up to 25 miles per day over various surfaces
WORKING CONDITIONS	Continuously works outside and closely with others Must be able to function in all weather conditions for long periods of time
