Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Coach and guide 1-2 scrum teams with a focus on ensuring the teams meet their product deliverables within the agile framework
Contribute, as an active and engaged member, to the broader Pega Technology global scrum master community
Responsible for Scrum adoption and ensure organization & teams are living Agile & Scrum values
Act as a role model for servant leadership
Responsible for facilitating Scrum events
Proactively address systemic impediments and prevent those from becoming blockers
Coach individuals and teams in delivering to their highest potential
Identify continuous improvement opportunities
Collaborate with PO & stakeholders in driving success behaviors and team metrics
Partner with PO for backlog refinement and prioritization
Identify skills and competencies needed to become high performing teams
Collaborate with engineering manager and stakeholders for setting up & clarifying goals
Help individuals and teams in achieving their goals and shield them from distractions
Foster creativity, drive innovation and improve efficiency of development teams
Requirements:
Ability to work in a large, complex organization, and influence various stakeholders and partners
Self-starter; Initiates work independently, before being asked
Strong team player able to seamlessly transition between contributing individually and collaborating on team projects; Understands that individual actions may require input from manager or peers; Knows when to include others
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate quantitative topics to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to effectively presents findings, data, and conclusions to influence senior leaders
Strong programming skills, e.g. Python, SAS, MATLAB or similar language
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired skills:
Solid understanding of AML and Global Financial Crime modelling techniques
Experience with core GRA Model Development Tools (BitBucket, Horizon, PyCharm, JIRA, GRADOC)
Broad experience in the design, implementation, and validation of risk models
Good understanding of current US regulatory environment, including but not limited to AML
