TITLE: Scrum Master
LOCATION: Remote
REPORTS TO: Lead Scrum Master
KEY RELATIONSHIPS AND TEAM: The Scrum Master will work collaboratively and directly with the Lead Scrum Master, VP of Technology, engineers, product owners, senior management, quality assurance team and organizational leadership playing a pivotal role in fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
THE OPPORTUNITY: The Scrum Master will support the Scrum process, guiding teams in Agile practices to enhance productivity and collaboration. In this role, you will drive meaningful change by leveraging your expertise in Agile methodologies, playing a vital part in our commitment to delivering high-quality products that exceed client expectations. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact while working alongside passionate professionals in a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Additionally, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement. This position is remote based.
Specifically, the Scrum Master will have responsibility to:
- Host and drive Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support and guide members on Scrum principles and practices to enhance their understanding and application.
- Advocate for Agile methodologies and best practices across the organization, helping teams adopt and implement them effectively.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
- Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team’s progress, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Support cross-functional collaboration to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in agile methodologies and automotive finance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Professional Qualifications:
The following knowledge, skills, education, and experiences are required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field OR minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira or Trello.
- Background in automotive lending or loan servicing a plus
The following knowledge, skills, and experiences are preferred, but not required:
- Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is a plus
