Job Title : Agile Scrum Master – Technical Firmware Project

Location : Hybrid Employment (3 days on-site) – Rice Creek, MN

Project Overview

We are developing a cutting-edge feature-rich touchscreen display device powered by custom embedded firmware. This device is designed to improve the lives of patients by enabling them to receive diagnostic information and adjust settings for their implanted medical devices. The touchscreen interface will provide intensity adjustments, diagnostic reporting, alert notifications, troubleshooting instructions, and graphical support to enhance usability. Our team is responsible for the embedded firmware, while a separate team develops the software application that runs on top of it. We are seeking an Agile Scrum Master with firmware expertise to ensure the team smoothly progresses from high-level features to detailed tasks, maintaining efficiency and delivering high-impact results.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead Agile Processes: Run Scrum meetings and keep development on track.
• Manage Backlog: Break down and prioritize firmware features into tasks.
• Advocate for the Team: Ensure alignment with other teams and stakeholders.
• Remove Roadblocks: Help the team stay efficient by addressing challenges.
• Encourage Collaboration: Foster open communication across teams.
• Track Progress: Monitor team status, workloads, and key metrics.
• Solve Problems: Take a proactive approach to keeping the project on course.

Required Skills:

• Must have experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing Agile development processes.
• Should understand firmware development and have experience supporting firmware teams.
• Needs strong organizational skills to track progress, estimate workloads, and manage the backlog effectively.
• Must be an excellent communicator who can align cross-functional teams and provide clear project updates.
• Should have a servant leader mindset, focusing on supporting the team rather than directing it.
• Must be highly collaborative and able to work seamlessly with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Needs a proactive problem-solving approach to remove roadblocks and keep development on track.
• Experience with unit testing and automation scripting, preferably in Python, is valuable.
• Should be flexible and willing to assist with technical or organizational tasks when needed to improve team efficiency.

Preferred Experience:

• Background in embedded systems or firmware development.
• Experience working on medical device software or other regulated environments.
• Familiarity with hardware/software integration processes.
