EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a
SAP Basis Developer with the skills and desire to grow into an SAP BASIS role as part of the Corporate Information Technology team in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities: - System Monitoring: Monitor SAP systems to ensure their availability, performance, and reliability. This includes checking system logs, analyzing system metrics, and addressing any issues or errors that arise.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine system maintenance tasks such as applying patches, upgrades, and service packs to keep the SAP system up to date and secure. This may involve coordinating with other teams or stakeholders.
- User Management: Create and manage user accounts and authorizations within the SAP system. This includes granting and revoking access rights, maintaining user profiles, and enforcing security policies.
- System Configuration: Assist in configuring and customizing the SAP system according to business requirements. This involves working with senior administrators or consultants to set up system parameters, define system landscapes, and establish system policies.
- SAP Transport Management Administration
- Incident Management: Respond to and resolve system-related incidents and issues. This includes troubleshooting problems, coordinating with other support teams, and following incident management processes to minimize system downtime.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes. Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and activities to track and communicate system health and progress.
Basic Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related technical field
- 5 years of experience with SAP BASIS
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in SAP PO/PI, SAP CPI ,SAP FIORI or S/4 HANA, with Solution Manager Administration experience a plus.
- Possess strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, team environment.
- Experience with a wide range of programming skills, with a desire to expand current skill sets into the SAP Basis arena.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to use creatively solve business problems with IT solutions.
