Job Description



The Sales Analyst role is responsible for providing support to the General Manager, Finance Director, and the Sales Director team. The primary focus is analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and providing insights for the achievement of sell in and sell out budgets. This includes optimizing the Weeks of Supply goals with each account, analyzing stock assortment (seeking opportunities and identifying liabilities) and ensuring accuracy of orders are submitted on a timely basis to meet the monthly budget. This position is a key collaborator with retail partners and the sales director team to build sales targets, launch goals and forecast launch allocations based on these targets.

Working in a highly entrepreneurial environment, this role is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, detail orientated and takes initiative to translate data into actionable insights with internal stakeholders and retail partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory

  • Analyze account inventory, on order and replenishment weekly to ensure identifying key opportunities-liabilities by franchise, and item regarding selling and on hands.
  • Monitor WOS and collaborate with Sales Directors on next steps.
  • Manage by account reformulated sku’s and old age to create sell off plan.
  • New/Discontinued SKU management: set up new skus for retailers using appropriate forms.
  • Launch sku follow up with finance team to ensure that inventory is in the warehouse and available to ship for said retailers managing cuts and rebooks based on appropriate timing/availability.
  • Communicate items back in stock arriving to Ferguson as well as items delayed to accounts.
  • In collaboration with Sales Director(s) allocate new launches as well as items on allocation.
  • Allocate TOAS for promotional events in tandem with demand planner.
  • Assist with orders for new stores.
  • Work closely with the demand planner on POSM needs for the field and stores.
  • Communicate tracking as needed on orders to accounts.
  • Keep new launch benchmark data and provide weekly updates.

Sales Reporting

  • Compile weekly retail sales report ensuring accuracy of all information and adding qualitative commentary of business performance, including Pop Up sales performance.
  • Sales reporting as needed to LVMH partners and assist with Global sellout report.
  • Assist with sales goals by account and store in collaboration with Sales Directors seasonally.
  • Update and issue new launch benchmark data and provide weekly updates along with goal setting in collaboration with Sales Directors.
  • Update Diversification file and Baccarat Rouge 540 sell out and inventory, quarterly.
  • Recovery door file updates as needed.
  • Store visit documents as needed for GM and Sales Directors.
  • Prepare retailer reports for market meetings & assist with PowerPoint presentations.

Administrative Duties

  • Review All Works invoices and manage spend to seasonal budget and All Works guidelines.
  • Update and maintain seasonal promotional calendars for all accounts.
  • Sell out information support for monthly sales and operation meetings.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of related planning experience
  • Knowledge of leading beauty and fragrance brands and of operating practices of specialty and department stores.
  • 1+ year of experience in sales analytics, Wholesale or Retailer background preferred.
  • Sound analytical skills, preferably retail or wholesale trade
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strong initiative, and ability to thrive in an unstructured environment.
  • Organized and ability to manage multiple priorities, based on daily-weekly business needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills – Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power Bi & Skypad.
  • Able to multitask, work within tight deadlines accurately, strong team player, attention to detail. Able to work on own initiative but as part of small team.
