A prominent logistics company is looking for a proactive, creative, analytical professional to join their Sales & Marketing team. This is a multi-faceted position that requires wearing many different hats - perfect for someone who likes to be busy and have their hands in several different projects simultaneously. The Sales & Marketing Specialist will proactively support the Sales Team in developing, qualifying, and converting customer leads into long-term clients. The Specialist will also create and update marketing content for various transportation services across the website, presentations, blogs, and social media. Additionally, this role involves researching customer conferences and assisting with pre- and post-conference activities, including attendee list management, sales briefings, and conference preparations. The Specialist will serve as the Sales CRM trainer and administrator, and perform other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Key Account Sales. **Must have experience with Marketing/Sales Support in a Logistics Company** Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required in Business Administration, Sales/Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, Operations, or related major field of study preferred
  • Two or more years of experience with a Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management company
  • Two or more years of experience supporting sales teams and clients and developing marketing materials with a documented track record of success

Responsibilities

  • Organize and assign lead lists to sales team members.
  • Manage CRM, including lead lists, account clearance, and research via ZoomInfo and LinkedIn.
  • Research and arrange customer conferences, meetings, and events aligned with target profiles.
  • Serve as CRM expert and trainer, facilitating lead management.
  • Assist sales with database maintenance, historical price quotes, and pricing trend analysis.
  • Facilitate new customer onboarding and documentation for credit and billing.
  • Provide ad hoc sales reporting, including FTR market data, sales KPIs, and special projects.
  • Coordinate quarterly sales outings to enhance internal collaboration.
  • Maintain high-quality PowerPoint presentations for pitches, reviews, and internal training.
  • Update company website with customer blogs, white papers, and new services.
  • Develop case studies, new blogs, and update existing ones annually.
  • Manage Google business profiles, ratings, and review responses.
  • Oversee promotional items inventory, vendor communications, and distribution.
  • Stay current on industry trends through webinars and courses, creating educational materials.
  • Collaborate with VP Sales & Marketing and Director of Key Account Sales to align with strategic goals.
