Join the MVT family!!! Mesilla Valley Transportation is now hiring a Safety Coordinator in El Paso, TX!
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for administering and auditing safety and compliance processes and procedures as set forth by the Safety Department to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Company regulations.
Responsibilities:
* Review Commercial Driver Licenses, Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals, Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs), and Driver Qualification (DQ) files on a random basis.
* Perform audits of scanned Driver Qualification (DQ) files and continuously update driver profiles.
* Audit missing logs and unknown logs submitted to RAIR for auditing.
* Audit E-logs (manual) for log/roadside inspections compliance.
* Shift supervision of Hours of Service (HOS) audits (approval/denial) as required.
* Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Hours of Service (Part 395) regulations.
* Provide continuous training on Hours of Service (HOS) regulations to all drivers.
* Communicate with drivers about company policy regarding moving violations and HOS violations.
* After-hours reviews of counseling drivers regarding Hours of Service (HOS) violations and Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) reviews.
* Provide resource information to the departments necessary regarding Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) related issues to ensure continuous compliance with regulations.
* Prepare statistical data and compile records and reports for management, including maintaining and updating various spreadsheets.
Qualifications:
* Associate's degree; or at least two years related experience and/or training: equivalent combination of educations and experience.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Strong technical skills.
* Proficient communicator.
* Bilingual (Preferred).
