About The Role You will play an integral role in building our environmental sustainability strategy in different areas including transportation and logistics, take-out packaging, clean energy, and carbon emissions measurement and reductions. You will work on projects that focus on opportunities to test, measure, and address DoorDash’s climate impact. Across the board, we aim to do this in a way that improves outcomes for merchants, Dashers, customers, and our business. You’ll develop and test hypotheses, and operate pilots and processes. Additionally, a significant part of this role is serving as our team’s point person for data and analytics across sustainability projects. You will report into our Social Impact and Sustainability team within the Public Policy organization. Responsibilities Operate at the lowest level of detail to become an expert of this problem space Learn how to develop strategies and act on them Build analysis to inform data-driven decisions to improve environmental sustainability outcomes for DoorDash and our communities Work both independently and collaboratively, including with cross-functional teams Qualifications You have 2-4 years of experience in operations, consulting, strategy, financial services, product operations, or related experience. High-growth or early-stage startup experience is a plus. You have at least intermediate analytics skills, including SQL, Excel, and data platforms like Sigma. (Beginner skill would be having a good understanding of concepts and syntax, while intermediate skill should enable you to easily tackle most new problems using your strong grasp of the field.) You are knowledgeable about the environmental sector. Direct experience is not required. You think about problems in very structured ways, and can analyze and synthesize data, make informed decisions, and balance this with empathy and intuition. You take action and try new things in order to accomplish a goal. You communicate complex topics in a clear, concise, and thorough way. Compensation and Benefits The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future. For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked, and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
