Description Server, Restaurant: Cottonwood Lodge General Summary Under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Manager, this position is responsible for performing proficiently in multiple types of skilled Hospitality work: such as basic and advanced order taking, guest service, basic cleaning tasks, etc. This position performs at a high level of expertise in all aspects of general restaurant work; maintains all duties assigned by the food and beverage manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Adhere to all local health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of food & beverage operations.
- Provide service to our guests.
- Correctly and efficiently take guest orders.
- Handle cash and different types of payment with accuracy and efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: - Should be at least 18 years of age.
- Be able to read and understand English.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to pay attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently for short periods of time.
- Must be dependable and punctual with transportation to and from work.
- Must have a clean uniform and professional uniform.
- Must work well with teammates.
- Must be TIPS certified.
Working Environment/Physical Activities: - Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.
- Must be able to work at indoor and outdoor temperatures, with extreme heat & cold.
- Environmental conditions encountered will include noise, fumes, odors, and dust.
Education/Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in the restaurant industry preferred.
- Food service license preferred.
- TIPS certification required.
