The Remote Staff Accountant will assist in maintaining all accounting functions for US and EMEA office.
Responsibilities include gathering and reviewing all data to provide timely and accurate financial statements for reporting, analysis and budget comparisons. The position will report directly to the local Director of Finance and be instrumental in driving and improving process and policies as we continue to grow the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Analyze, reconcile and prepare work papers for assigned Balance Sheet accounts
* Ensure that all transactions are accurately posted in the general ledger
* Support aggressively tight month-end and year-end close process
* Reviews contracts with non-standard terms to determine appropriate revenue accounting
* Assists in managing sales tax filing and state reconciliations
* Assists with revenue recognition for service deliverables
* Prepares miscellaneous ad-hoc reports
Basic Qualifications and Skills
BS in Accounting required
* 5 years of experience in a progressive accounting role
* SaaS experience a plus * Expert level of excel skills
* Experience in Hyperion/Essbase a plus
* Independent thinker and self starter
* Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
* Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with staff and clients.
* Good communication skills for communicating with team.
* Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
