Working directly with the Field Office Real Estate (FORE) team this position collaborates with team members to support the real estate strategies of Northwestern Mutuals Field Offices. The main function of this role is to assist and support the FORE team in a variety of key areas within its core function of real estate planning and execution process. This role is instrumental in the successful planning and execution of our real estate team aiding in the preparation of Financial, Space, and Real Estate Analyses, assisting in office space design, and supporting the development and design of reports and presentations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Problem Solving: Collaborate with the team to solve complex real estate problems, identify solutions, and support the execution of initiatives as they are rolled out.
  • Aid in the Preparation of Financial, Space, and Real Estate Analyses: Assist in thinking through and supporting the preparation of financial and real estate concepts and analysis. Assist in the preparation of modeling an office’s space needs under various growth scenarios.
  • Complete Standardized Deliverables: Accurately complete cyclical standardized deliverables that support the function of the FORE team.
  • Assemble Presentations: Collaborate in gathering presentation reports and analyses for due diligence memorandums to secure internal approval of recommended real estate solutions by senior leadership.
  • Manage Essential Files: Ensure essential files related to the negotiation of Letters of Intent, core business functions, and various lease documents are correctly organized within the database.
  • Assist in Office Space Design: Learn and understand the team’s operational practices to assist in designing efficient and cost-effective office space layouts.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Assume other responsibilities as needed to support the team and its objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related business experience working with financial statements, performing financial analysis, and modeling, and using spreadsheet tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to analyze business problems and make recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and carry out diverse assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build rapport and acceptance within the Home Office and Field.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Office design experience is a plus.

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$68,320.00

Pay Range - End:

$126,880.00

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Please note that the salary range listed in the posting is the standard pay structure. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
