SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 7:30a-4:00p
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000
SUMMARY
The radiologist assistant is identified as an "advanced-level radiologic technologist who works under the supervision of a radiologist to enhance patient care by assisting the radiologist in the diagnostic imaging environment."The Radiologist Assistant is not a radiologist nor a physician assistant but rather a valuable addition to the radiology team who can enhance quality patient care by performing advanced level radiological services under the supervision of a radiologist.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining accountability of service. Including a detailed review with the radiologist of the unsupervised service being provided including a detailed patient history for fluoroscopy, CT, Mammography, Ultrasound Bone Density and MRI Patients under the supervision of the radiologist patient imaging determined. • Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in patient charts as necessary. • Responsible for oversight and administration of various procedures that are performed in the scope of radiology services under guidance of supervising radiologist.• Cleans, restocks and prepares rooms on a daily basis.• Attends hospital and departmental meetings and in-services, peer review process as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years college certificate or equivalent• Computer skills required.• Must complete a program for the training of radiologic assistants approved by the New York State Education Department.
- NYS license as a Radiology Specialist Assistant• NYS license in Radiologic Technology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work in various software applications preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills preferred.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT) Required.

RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED), RTC - Radiologic Technologist certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

$100,000.00 - $150,000.00
