Job Description
Ambassador Personnel is seeking a Quality Information Systems Analyst for the Montgomery, AL area. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with benefits, paid time off, holiday pay, cafeteria/FLEX spending accounts, and 401k.
The Quality Information Systems Analyst will conduct ongoing data collection and analysis of health information obtained from a variety of sources, including advanced analytic software, data visualization software, etc., to drive clinical and operational performance improvement. The Quality Information Systems Analyst is a vital contributor to the Association, engaging daily with staff and health center teams across the State. Data and health informatics activities are focused heavily on improving clinical outcomes, operational efficiencies, and increasing the level of patient and staff experience within community health centers.
Responsibilities
• Programs and executes queries within data visualization software.
• Analyzes and interprets data; ensures data validity; performs calculations, prepares and updates tables, charts, graphs and technical summaries in an accurate and professional format for presentation.
• Presents data.
• Functions as in-house expert on population health software/tools.
• Designs develops, and documents basic data entry within tracking tools.
• Facilitates training for health center staff related to data analysis.
• Remains abreast of the latest advancements in AI use within.
• Assisting in training of healthcare professionals on how to use AI tools.
• Assisting with the evaluation of the effectiveness of AI interventions in improving patient care and health outcomes.
• Adheres to policies and procedures regarding HIPAA/Security compliance.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree preferred. Significant experience may be substituted for some portion of the educational requirements.
• Health care experience is preferred.
• Advanced reporting, design, and development skills in Power BI, Microsoft Access, Tableau, and comparable analytics tools.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills required. Advanced Excel and MS Access skills preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and make recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, in a professional manner.
