Position: QC Weld Inspector

Location: Ashland, VA

Duration: Full time, Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: Depending on expertise

Shift: 1st Shift

We are seeking an experienced QC Weld Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and welding, specifically within steel rolling operations. This position is crucial for maintaining the high standards of our production processes and ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough quality control inspections on all steel rolling processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Identify and report any defects or non-conformities in materials and workmanship.
• Work closely with production teams to resolve any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Ensure all QC activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a QC Weld Inspector, with a solid background in welding and steel rolling.
• Relevant certifications in welding inspection (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector) are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of welding techniques, inspection methods, and quality standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
