Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our behavioral health team. This role offers flexibility with remote and hybrid options while providing the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered mental health care. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team to support patients through evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing care.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning in compliance with state and professional standards.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, counselors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for integrated care.
• Provide psychiatric services including counseling, medication management, and patient education.
• Prescribe medications safely and effectively, explaining risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
• Order and interpret lab tests, ensuring patients understand results and next steps.
• Deliver follow-up care and maintain ongoing communication with patients.
• Refer patients for inpatient care when necessary, in collaboration with the supervising psychiatrist.
• May provide limited primary care services within licensure scope.

What We’re Looking For

• Master of Science in Nursing (Psychiatric/Mental Health specialization) from an accredited program.
• Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in New York State.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in psychiatric/behavioral health settings.
• Currently enrolled in medicaid/medicare program in NY State
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient advocacy skills.
• Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week.
