Job Details
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager/DDC Technician in the High Desert area of California to oversee and implement Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems for commercial HVAC projects. This role blends hands-on technical expertise with project management responsibilities, ensuring the successful execution of controls projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of DDC projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Prepare project schedules, resource plans, and documentation.
Monitor project progress, address issues promptly, and ensure client satisfaction.
Conduct project meetings to review timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Program, configure, and commission DDC systems for HVAC equipment and building automation.
Perform system start-ups, calibrations, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
Integrate DDC systems with other building management systems (BMS) and networks.
Create and modify sequences of operations, graphical user interfaces, and system databases.
Provide technical support to field teams and end users.
Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
Conduct thorough system testing, commissioning, and documentation for final handover.
Requirements:
Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Distech, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Trane, Delta Controls, Automated Logic, or other
Previous experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Proficiency with controls software, networking, and protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
