Project Manager I

Full time; Exempt

Location; Lake Zurich, IL, US

Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. (“Dovenmuehle”) is the leading mortgage subservicing firm in the United States with several hundred financial institution clients nationwide.

General Description:

Requires an individual with Mortgage Banking experience and experienced at handling specific projects for departments (as needed). Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

Additional Information

  • Must have mortgage banking/loss mitigation knowledge and experience handling projects (hopefully a couple years).
  • It’s a Hybrid position , mostly remote. The expectation is that they may need to come onsite in LZ (maybe a day a week) or if a Vendor is visiting so they will need to attend those meetings, as they come up.
  • Weekly routine includes handling assigned projects for the Loss Mitigation Management Team and some work with DMI Vendors.
  • Will have scheduled weekly calls with DMI Vendors and handle the necessary follow-ups and reports.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of project.
  • Facilitate in the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Develop full scale project plans.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to project team.
  • Quality assurance.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions.
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results.
  • Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a financial role.
  • Qualification in project management or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Direct work experience in project management capacity.
  • Experience in strategic planning.
  • Experience in risk management.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Proficient in project management software.
  • 2 years of project management experience.
  • Must have at least 2 years of Mortgage Servicing experience or working knowledge.
  • A working knowledge of the mortgage servicing rules, and FNMA, FHLMC, FHA and VA, CFPB guidelines is preferred.
  • Microsoft Excel (VBA), Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Preferred/Other Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of mortgage servicing software and platforms.
  • 2 + years of experience in Project Management.
  • Passport or Mainframe Database Query Tool is a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The employee must be comfortable in either an on-site office setting, or a quiet, designated work from home space that is free from distractions and noise. The employee is regularly required to communicate (give/receive) information through multiple methods of communication with clear understanding from others. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position and or move about the organization or remote office. The employee is frequently required to stand or walk (or otherwise move through the organization); sit; use hands to type, write, handle, or feel and reach. May occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; or lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Employees may be required to type and utilize a computer for long periods of time.

The employee may be required to frequently operate a standard variety of office equipment including computers, calculators, copy machine, computer printer and phones. The noise level, if working on-site, is usually moderate and typical of an office environment.
