Overview

The selected candidate will manage a team of outreach coordinators focused on reaching out to employers, employees, and property managers to encourage behavior change.  

Role  

The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of a variety of, employer outreach, marketing, evaluation, and reporting activities. They will develop workplans and oversee, direct, and mentor outreach team members whose roles include developing and maintaining relationships that keep employers interested and involved in initiatives to encourage their employees to commute using sustainable modes of transportation. The outreach team members also work with property managers and commuters, providing education and encouragement for the promotion and benefits of modes of alternative transportation including transit, vanpool, carpool, and biking.

Responsibilities include  

  • Establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with the client, other staff from the larger project team, program clients, and the public, including those from culturally diverse backgrounds, the elderly, persons with disabilities and/or other vulnerable populations.   

  • Work collaboratively with other TDM providers, client staff, and transit providers throughout our clients’ region.  

  • Train, manage, mentor, and cultivate an outreach team.  

  • Develop workplan activities and calendars to guide the work.  

  • Provide direction and quality control in guiding the development of printed and digital marketing materials and collateral related to outreach.   

  • Lead the development of a variety of frameworks for employer services, including, but not limited to program participant recognition, transportation fairs, presentations, and workshops and various outreach events. 

  • Track and report on program activity metrics.   

Required Skills, Expertise, and Experience  

  • The Project Manager must have expertise in:  

  • Cultivating, mentoring, and managing a team.

  • Planning, managing, and implementing outreach to employers.  

  • Public and private sector business-to-business (B2B) sales approach.  

  • Communications, marketing, and program management.  

  • Building and maintaining trusted partnerships.  

  • A B.A./B.S. in a related field such as Business Management, Marketing or Social Marketing, Psychology, Public Relations, Public Administration, Environmental Studies/Sustainability, or Communications, Geography, or Urban Planning with at least 5 years of relevant experience is required for this position. At least two years of experience managing an outreach team is also required. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of behavior change and organizational development, demonstrate an interest in the field of sustainable transportation, and a willingness to learn about Transportation Demand Management.  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with the use of customer relationship management (CRM) software and some type of project management software (Asana preferred) are preferred.  

  • On-the-job and/or formal training will be provided to assist the selected candidate to grow professionally; the selected candidate must have a commitment to ongoing professional growth.   

Location  

While this is a hybrid in-office/work from home position, the selected candidate must live in or relocate to the Atlanta, GA region within commuting distance to downtown. They will work at Foursquare ITP’s Atlanta office in downtown, with regular visits to the client in downtown as well as some regional travel.

Compensation  

An individual who meets the minimum requirements can earn an annual salary of $86,000. Salary can be as much as $126,000 based on additional education, years of experience, and relevance of experience. Assistance with moving expenses may be offered on a case-by-case basis.
