PROFESSIONAL WATER RESOURCE ENGINEER (Remote Option)
Water Resource Engineer position offers great potential for professional growth in a fantastic working environment and an opportunity to provide innovative and creative design solutions to water resource projects. Typical projects involve assisting federal, state and local clients in completing drainage design, stormwater management, floodplain management and other watershed planning for Design-Build and Bid-Build projects.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Required Qualifications:
You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with North Dakota PE registration (or the ability to obtain registration within 12 months).
You are building on 5 or more years of successful design and consulting experience within the water resources area.
You have technical skills and experience using common hydrologic and hydraulic modeling resources (e.g. HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XPSWMM, SSA, HydroCAD).
You have knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, open channel and pipe flow, lake and stream water quality issues, and earthwork and grading plans.
You have experience with GIS and CADD based civil design software.
You have successfully worked in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
You have experience with 1D and 2D Unsteady HEC-RAS modeling.
You have experience with 2D SWMM modeling.
You are familiar with FEMA's MT-1 and MT-2 permitting processes.
You have experience working with the USACE on Section 404 and 408 permit applications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You regularly design storm water detention facilities, storm drains, flood control facilities, stream crossings, or other hydraulic structures.
You develop watershed master plans and flood mitigation studies.
You analyze storm water or floodplain drainage systems to control erosion, stabilize riverbanks, and repair channel streams.
You prepare environmental documentation for regulatory program compliance.
You interface with various entities ranging from FEMA and USACE to local government.
You perform predesign services, such as feasibility or environmental impact studies.
You create and follow design specifications, plans, maps, project schedules, and budgets.
