JOB SUMMARY:

The Product Tester I will be responsible for the process of receiving, creating, and issuing Transaction Certificates (TC's) to verify that ATC is using certified fiber in our products.The Product Tester I will also assist with the submission of product for external textile product testing from development, pre-production, and production stages. This testing will include raw materials to finished goods.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Transaction Certificate Process

•Receives and reviews the Transaction Certificate's (TC's) from our fiber suppliers.

•Ensures that each TC is filled out accurately and completely.

•Gathers the applicable Purchase Orders (PO's) for specific pillow SKUs on a weekly basis for each facility.

•Collaborates with Finance and Shipping to review and match the invoice, bill of lading and packing slips to each PO.

•Submits the TC to 3rd party Control Union for review and to ensure everything is in order.

•Reviews the Transaction Certificate received from Control Union and submits the TC to the appropriate retailer.

External Testing

•Utilizes outside labs for all tests that are unable to be performed in house.

•Assists with collecting and submitting samples to all accounts requiring product testing.

•Reviews results and retests, as necessary.

•Tracks all completed testing and all testing in progress.

•Logs the cost for all testing.

•Prepares testing results reports on a quarterly basis.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

•College Degree or minimum of one-year equivalent business experience

•1+ years of experience working in Quality Control or product testing, preferably in the textile industry is a plus

•Familiarity with AATCC and ASTM standards is a plus

•Ability to follow detailed instructions and strictly adhere to procedures

•Work will be performed with little supervision, necessitating the ability to fix errors/issues before being told

•Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines

•Basic computer skills, experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

•Good attention to detail and organizational skills

•Basic math skills

•Ability to be flexible to changing requests

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

•Ability to stand for up to six hours a day

•Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds

•Ability to withstand prolonged periods sitting at a desk

•Frequent use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions and work on a computer

•Ability to occasionally walk
