Position Description: Delta College of Arts and Technology is seeking a highly student-oriented Registered Nurse to join our team as a full-time clinical and classroom Practical Nurse Instructor at our Baton Rouge Campus. This role requires 32 to 40 hours of work per week, day- or evening-shift position. Some of the Practical Nurse Instructor's responsibilities include:Supervising students during clinical rotations.Coordinating with clinicians at clinical sites.Developing and reviewing student assignments.Instructing students on how to perform duties at the clinical site.Evaluating students' work.Experience in Nursing Instruction is preferred, but not required as the college trains all faculty. This is a terrific opportunity to share your knowledge and experience of the nursing profession! Requirements: A current and valid Louisiana state RN license is required. Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.At least one year as a medical-surgical hospital staff nurse.Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug and background screening.Day Shift Hours: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Classroom Instruction).6:30 AM to 2:30 PM (Clinical Instruction).Weekends, nights, and Holidays off. Evening Shift Hours:
6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Classroom & Clinical Instruction).
Some Saturdays 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM.Holidays off.
