Job Description
Executive of a successful company in Southern California is looking for a personal chef/housekeeper. The ideal candidate must be able to do the following duties, but please read the entire description below prior to applying as this is a unique position with many facets:
Chef Duties:
Availability to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Each meal must be around 800 calories.
Develop a written summary of the food menu in advance for approval. Include weights and measures of the food. Shop for fresh ingredients including fruits, vegetables and fresh fish and chicken.
Ability to prepare and serve dinner parties on the weekends, holidays and special events.
Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen as cooking area. Must clean up after meals.
Must have a minimum of three years for culinary experience. Traditional culinary training/school is preferred.
House Keeper duties:
General tidiness - most important aspect is to keep house organized, in good repair and clean.
Errands - Go to the markets such as Whole Foods, the pharmacy, the pet store and other stores as needed.
Maintenance - coordinate with gardeners, pool maintenance and general house repairs. Keep a checking account for house expenses. Changing lightbulbs. Maintain inventory of house supplies.
Executive cars - Ensure the cars are kept clean, make sure they are washed and gassed. Possibility of having to call the dealer to pick up and deliver automobiles after repairs. Some chauffeuring may be required such as driving to the airport, to various appointments, etc.
Candidate must be able to travel often throughout the United States with executives within 24 hours notice.
Swimming pool maintenance - coordinate with the pool maintenance company as necessary.
Fresh flowers - keep fresh flowers in personal residence of executive.
Landscaping - schedule to ensure the house is well manicured and garden area on the property is maintained. Over see gardener and external care of the property.
Appearance - Look neat and professional at all times. Black pants and a dress shirt when performing daily work and a chef uniform when cooking, serving, and entertaining.
Traveling - Executive travels often to cities around the country and candidate will travel with the executive and duties would include the same as duties performed in California. There will be no set schedule.
