LanceSoft is seeking a Physician Assistant Orthopedic Surgery for a per diem / prn job in Mason City, Iowa.

Job Description & Requirements

• Shift: 8 hours, days, on call
• Employment Type: Per Diem

Schedule:

• Start: ASAP
• Mon-Fri (8a-5p)
• Weeknight call
• Weekends: 24 Hour Call

Details:

• Inpatient responsibilities: Yes - rounding on post-op patients, inpatient/ED consults, OR
• Telehealth: NO.
• Job Responsibilities: Clinical, Surgical and Trauma/Orthopedic Call
• Number of Physicians: 4 Physicians as of July 2025 with Locum call coverage
• Number of Advanced Practice Providers:
• Nursing Support: 1 nurse/provider, 3 cast techs/7 providers
• Ancillary Staff per Provider: 3 Reception/7 providers, 2 Surgery Schedulers/7 providers
• Number of Exam Rooms per Provider: 2 exam rooms and 3 cast rooms
• Medical Imaging: YES.
• Lab: YES.
• Pharmacy: YES.
• Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: Mainly consults, current avg hospital daily census 160 pts/day
• Appointment Length: 10-30 mins depending on new consult, recheck, post-op, or procedure
• Demographics: Hub Hospital, Serve 16 surrounding counties, Population 200,000+
• EMR: GE Centricity for clinic. EPIC for hospital.
• Teaching Opportunity: IM and FM residency. PA student rotation.
• Facility will accept new grads. 

 

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified -  REQUIRED (can accept Board Eligible)
• Clean Malpractice -  REQUIRED  (no pending or settled cases - no exceptions)
• Active IA License or Active Compact/IMLC LOQ -REQUIRED (copy is required at time of name clear)
• Updated CV - REQUIRED AT TIME OF NAME CLEAR
