Job/Practice Description:

• Join a cohesive team of Pediatric Intensivists supporting a 10-bed PICU in a dedicated children’s hospital
• Flexible scheduling: approximately 14 twelve-hour shifts per month, designed collaboratively with the physician team
• Responsibilities include PICU consults, admissions, procedures, and management of critically ill pediatric patients
• Strong subspecialty support, including: (Pediatric Hospitalists, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Neurosurgery, and Pediatric Endocrinology)
• Participation in academic and teaching activities through the affiliated medical school
• Supportive leadership and a hospital culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence in patient care
• Over 4,000 pediatric admissions annually
• Dedicated pediatric emergency department and Level III NICU
• State-of-the-art facilities designed specifically for children and families
• Member of the Children’s Hospital Association
• Offers child life services, advanced pediatric imaging, and a family-centered care environment
• Hospital-employed position

Requirements:

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
• Eligible for Michigan medical licensure
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Interest in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents
• Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
