The Shottenkirk Automotive Group currently operates 27 Automotive Dealerships in 6 states and employs over 2,300 people. We are family-owned and have been in business for over 60 years. We need to hire an Payroll Clerk - Bookkeeping. No dealership experience is required. We value our employees and invest in their success.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Clerk - Bookkeeping:

• Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data
• Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions

• ADP Work Force (Semi Monthly Payroll)

• Accounts Payable

• Accounts Receivable

• Assist with phones

• Assist with cashiering

• Assist with daily deposit

• Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wages
• Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employers payments for social security, unemployment and workers compensation
• Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries
• Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
• Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Payroll Clerk - Bookkeeping:

• No dealership experience is required we will train
• Must understand basic concepts of payroll
• Must have intermediate skill using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must be dependable, on time, and team orientated
• Must have the ability to handle a high volume of work and be able to multi task
• ADP experience a plus
• Data entry skills with attention to detail
• Professional appearance
• Team player with positive attitude
• Driven and self-motivated personality.
• Good customer service skills
