Job Description

LOCATION:

Keio Academy of New York, Purchase Campus, 3 College Road, Purchase, NY 10577

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach 4-9 regular classes per week for Grades 9-12.
• Teaching Japanese / Kokugo
• The faculty will be expected to undertake any other related tasks as the School may reasonably request. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in teaching subject: Master's degree preferred but not required. Native Japanese speaker and at least several years of experience in teaching Japanese/Kokugo. Teaching experience for Grades 9-12 students is preferred. Understand and learn the department's goal and how to improve students' skills. Have a passion for teaching students and making improvements. Work and collaborate well with other teachers in the department as a team player.

COMPENSATION:

• The part-time teacher will be compensated per the number of classes to teach.
• The rate will be $55-80 (DOB) per class. General teaching preparation, homework assignments, and grading are inclusive and equally compensated in general.
• If you are requested to attend a faculty/department meeting, you will be compensated for the actual hours at your class rate.
