About the Employer

Downtown College Prep (DCP) prepares first-generation students for college success. DCP was the first charter school in Silicon Valley and currently operates one high school and two middle schools in San Jose, CA. DCP currently serves students in grades 5-12 and provides college coaching, mentoring, and college scholarships to over 400 alumni.


Downtown College Prep was founded with the belief that all students, regardless of background and prior academic achievement, can and should be prepared for college success. Job Summary

To assist teacher(s) and/or other certificated personnel by performing a variety of
instructional support duties to individual or small groups of Special Education pupils in a
classroom or resource environment encompassing a range of physical, emotional,
intellectual, and communication disabilities; to assist in the establishment and
maintenance of appropriate classroom and site behavior; and to perform a routine of
clerical tasks as assigned.
