Description

Job Title: Assistant Early Childhood Teacher

Grade Level/Ages: Preschool ages 3-5 years old

Description: Wellspring Catholic Academy of St. Bernadette is seeking a part-time caring, cooperative, and motivated Assistant Early Childhood Teacher. A Wellspring Catholic Academy preschool assistant teacher partners with the Early Childhood Teacher in the classroom to help children grow and develop socially, emotionally, cognitively, physically, and spiritually. The assistant teacher will need strong communicative, collaborative, and organizational skills as well as a desire to be part of a mission-driven school culture.

Qualifications

Requirements:

1-3 years minimum experience working with children ages 3-5
Being on your feet 80-90% of the time
Getting onto and off of the floor to sit or squat to meet children's eye levels
Colorado early childhood leveled credential preferred
Safe Environment Training (can be earned after hire)
Completing mandatory online training to meet state and federal requirements
Bilingual English-Spanish

Preferences:

Associate or Bachelor's degree
ECE 101 and 103 completion, CDA, and/or CO Early Childhood Leveled Credential II
Be a fully initiated and active Catholic who teaches and acts in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assists and supports the Early Childhood Teacher in maintaining a safe, clean learning environment for all children in his/her care
Maintains a cooperative attitude of working together with their assigned teacher, parents, and others staff in planning and implementing activities
Exhibits a genuine nurturing and caring attitude towards all children
