LHH has partnered with a well-known law firm in Torrance, CA who is looking for highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our litigation team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is passionate about supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, and agreements.
Collaborate closely with attorneys to ensure cases progress efficiently; proactively communicate updates and flag urgent matters.
Support discovery processes, including drafting discovery requests, coordinating depositions, and issuing subpoenas.
Conduct document review and analysis using various legal platforms.
Maintain and organize electronic case files using iManage or similar document management systems.
Assist in trial preparation: compile trial materials, coordinate witnesses, issue subpoenas, manage exhibits, and attend trial as needed.
Qualifications:
Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive mindset.
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and respond effectively under pressure.
Strong judgment and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Committed to delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
Tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools and processes.
Willingness to travel nationwide for trial support.
Familiarity with client billing guidelines and accurate time entry practices.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting (defense experience preferred).
