JOB TITLE: Painter

JOB DETAILS:

Maintains and repairs all buildings of Camillus House and Health. Aids all areas to improve physical work environment. Responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance series in all Camillus facilities.

Salary

$23.00 hr.

Specialties

Education: High School or GED; any appropriate combination of education, experience, and/or certification may be considered.

Experience: 5 years of Residential or Commercial Experience.

Language: Proficiency in oral/written English. Bilingual (i.e., Spanish) preferred; additional languages a plus (i.e., Creole).

Skills: Proficiency in computer (Word, Excel, other data collecting programs). Ability to work with airless sprayers, high lifts.

Requirements

Successful completion of Toxicology test, L2 and local background screening.

Valid FL Driver License with clean driving record.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be comfortable working directly with highly vulnerable populations in an outpatient basis as part of a multidisciplinary street outreach program.
• Perform minor patching and painting of interior/exterior walls, piping, ceilings, floors, furniture, and any other item that requires a paint finish for residential and commercial.
• Operates a variety of painting equipment including airless sprayer, HPLV sprayer, sandblasters, pressure washers, paint brushes, rollers, sanders, and paint mixers; clean and maintain brushes, tools, and other equipment.
• Determines the methods, techniques, devices, and number of materials needed to paint interior and exterior structures.
• Mixes paints and stains, matches colors.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Assists other maintenance staff as needed in painting, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, floor and ceiling tiles, or any other duties.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs and perform scheduled maintenance repairs.
• Reads and interpret work orders to perform required maintenance services and maintain fork order log.
• Provides on and off hour emergency response, including repairing equipment, stabilizing damages, and requesting support personnel as needed.
• Works closely with and maintain good working relations with employees in all areas, as well as with contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Performs regular inspections of facilities and maintain an inspection log.
• Keeps accurate mileage logs.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
