Overview Sligo Software Solutions Inc. is seeking an Oracle ETL Report Developer for a contract role in Durham, NC. This position is hybrid with a duration of 6+ months (possibility of extension). Base pay range $65.00/hr - $68.00/hr About the role NC FAST requires the services of a Curam Reports Developer to assist with reports development activities for NC FAST Medicaid Projects. The role involves Oracle PL/SQL development and Microsoft Azure Synapse, providing business and system analysis, modeling, design, development and maintenance of Medicaid reporting solutions and semantic models. This position will work with the NC FAST internal business team and Medicaid team to develop new reports and maintain reporting code, address backlog change requests, and help fix defects. Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL reports and related data integrations. Work with Azure Synapse (serverless SQL pools, pipelines, SQL pools, Spark pools) to design and implement data analytics solutions. Build dashboards and reports using Power BI; configure, design, and develop reporting solutions. Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Lead and mentor other reporting developers in data integration efforts, employing ETL design patterns and robust error handling. Identify and implement improvements based on backlog change requests and defect fixes. Qualifications Strong understanding of relational databases (tables, views, indexes, tablespaces, users, grants). Experience designing, building, and managing data warehouses. 5+ years of Oracle PL/SQL experience. Working knowledge of BI/reporting tools (e.g., BIRT) and understanding of IBM Curam framework data/models. Experience building analytics solutions using Azure Synapse serverless SQL pools. Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (Synapse pipelines, SQL pools, Spark pools). 1–2 years of Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL on Azure Cloud. Experience configuring, designing, developing, and testing dashboards using Power BI. Ability to mentor others and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Required / Desired Skills Experience with Oracle, Oracle Utilities, and ETL tools (OWB/ODI) is a plus. Experience with SQL scripting and relational database modeling. Experience with structured software development methodologies. Ability to develop relationships with customers and manage multiple priorities. Data Warehouse experience and BI tooling familiarity (preferred). Experience with the Cúram product is highly desired.
