Occupational Therapist - School Based at Supplemental Health Care summary:

This position is for a School-Based Occupational Therapist providing therapy services to elementary and some secondary students in a school district in Rockford, IL. Responsibilities include evaluating student needs, developing and implementing therapy programs, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with school teams and guardians. The role supports student well-being according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and may involve travel between school locations and supervision of assistants.

We’re currently hiring in Rockford, Illinois to support a school district in need of Occupational Therapists. School-Based Occupational Therapist Contract Details:

• $45 – $47 an hour
• 2025-2026 School Year
• Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time
• Start Date: August 2025
• End Date: May 2026
• Location: Rockford, IL
• Assignment Details: Elementary aged students with a small amount of secondary.
• Develop and implement educational and therapy programs based on evaluation results
• Evaluates students to identify needs and determine eligibility for therapy services
• Collect therapy data, maintain accurate student records, and monitor progress toward student goals
• Work collaboratively and communicate with school interdisciplinary team and student guardians
• Schedule follows the school district calendar
• Will provide occupational therapy services according to student IEP
• Assigned schools may include various grade levels
• May be asked to travel between school locations
• May be asked to supervise assistants

Requirements:

• IDFPR Occupational Therapist license
• American Heart Association BLS
• Prior experience with pediatrics or in a school setting is preferred but not required
