Title: Network/Security Engineer

Duration : 12+ months contract

Location : Hybrid 2 days/ week in NYC (10019)

Industry : Financial Services

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network or security infrastructure.
• Strong foundation in either routing and switching technologies or enterprise-grade security platforms.
• Experience configuring and managing firewalls—Palo Alto experience is a strong plus.
• Proficient in MACD (Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes) tasks, including switch port patching and configuration.
• Skilled in maintaining and tracking inventory for network and telecom hardware.
• Capable of monitoring network and telecom systems and coordinating with vendors to resolve service issues.
• Familiar with implementing best practices and applying necessary firmware or software upgrades.
• Able to respond to and investigate security alerts, implementing remediation as needed.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for assigned systems.

Preferred Experience:

At least two years of experience configuring and managing enterprise networks and/or security infrastructure.

• EDR, MDR, or SIEM tools (highly desirable).
• Load balancer configuration and management.
• Experience with proxy server infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Cisco wireless environments.
• Experience providing basic telephony support (major plus).
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking—Azure preferred.
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and remediation processes.
• Proficiency in packet capture and traffic analysis.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or security credentials (e.g., Security+, CySA+).
