Job Description

In the current healthcare environment, nephrologists face a demoralizing problem: the practice of medicine has been replaced with the practice of business administration:
  • Hundreds of patients.
  • 10 minute visits.
  • An unending schedule of dialysis starts.

What happened to personally caring for patients?

Our client's mission is to transform the way healthcare is delivered for those with kidney disease so they can lead healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives.

One nephrologist put it this way:

"At work, I feel like I am ahead of the curve of where nephrology is going to go. It's a great opportunity because healthcare is changing."

Our client's nephrologists focus on what brought them to the profession: working for a patient to provide the best care possible.

Our client is a value-based care company. This means that we focus on outcomes, not volumes.

Our client's CMO is a nephrologist, and we deeply understand the vital impact nephrologists make when they are empowered to direct care for patients with kidney disease. We've built a model with teams of RNs, Social Workers, and Nurse Practitioners so that nephrologists don't have to work as a care team all by themselves. We hire nephrologists for the skill of their intellect, not for the labor of their hands.

Our client's nephrologists share our passion for improving quality outcomes for health plan members suffering from kidney disease. They manage a much smaller panel of patients than in the typical nephrology practice, providing care in a way that promotes patient engagement long before ESRD, resulting in delayed disease progression.

For patients with kidney failure, our nephrologists prioritize informed patient choice, permanent vascular access, and planned dialysis starts or close medical management, depending on the clinically appropriate choice.

Our client's nephrologists work remotely from home and in person locally when necessary. As a part of working at a national practice, MDs will be licensed in multiple states. MDs work on an employed basis, full-time, 5 days a week.

Our client is shaping the future of healthcare for chronic kidney disease. Join the future of nephrology.

Reduce unnecessary episodes of care

Identify and make practical pointed interventions to improve member care

Participate in monthly sessions with the Regional Medical Director & CMO concerning expectations around KPIs

Share in backup coverage with other MDs
